Having held paid positions as a coordinator, manager, and volunteer consultant, I have grasped how to use social media as a tool to communicate a message tailored specifically to the audience you want to reach on the right platform to reach them.
Platforms
I have always been able to navigate new trends and keep tabs on how certain platforms are used. As a public relations professional, this skill has proven valuable as my knack for keeping up to date on social media allows me to thrive on many platforms.
Management
Being interested in and familiar with so many social platforms has allowed me to use my social media skills on-the-job. While working with CBRM Recreation, I was one of the main Social Media Coordinators for the department's Facebook and Instagram. During this time, I also took the lead as Social Media Manager for a local baseball club where I created and oversaw all content for the club's Facebook page.
Campaign Planning
Creating programs like ‘CBRM En Vert’, I used my social media prowess to drive home the message of what I wanted these programs to accomplish. Through branding, crafting content, researching, and scheduling posts, I was able to plan social media campaigns to roll out during the inception of the program.
